Willowgate Trout & Salmon Fishery is located on the banks of the world-famous River Tay. The fishery features a nine-acre fly-only trout loch in addition to four miles of salmon fishing. The river creates the ideal setting, offering breathtaking views of Scotland and an abundance of wonderful wildlife. The body of water is long and irregular in shape, so it has a lot of different nooks and crannies that anglers can fish in.
On the closest side of the first island is a section with a wood a boardwalk that runs along its perimeter and offers convenient access to the water. Further along, there is a second island with a bridge connecting to the shore so that you can fish out from there on the widest part of the lochan. Then, further along still, there is a long “peninsula” that provides another access area to the farthest part of the water.
You should not have any trouble finding a spot to cast your line at the fishery because there is plenty of space available to accommodate anglers.
