Willows Farm Fishing is a fishing complex in Leicester. It is a season ticket only fishing venue. Still, there are some beautiful carp to be caught on this venue which has members returning year after year. There are a number of lakes at Willows Farm Fishing, but there is also some river fishing to be had, which can be nice and challenging for those anglers not worried about the carp fishing. For those anglers that do want to catch big carp, this is one of Leicester’s finest carp fishing venues.
What size do the fish go to?
The carp at Willows Farm Fishing are up to about 30lbs right now. There are a number of mid-20s to catch and plenty of double-figure carp to go around. There are also some impressive tench and bream. The river is a bit of a mystery here. As this complex is heavily focused on carp fishing, the river is hardly ever fished. There is likely to be some amazing fish in the river, including some nice barbel, chub and winter pike too.
What tactics work well?
The carp at this venue respond very well to most carp tactics. However, the lakes are stocked regularly with young carp, so it is best to avoid pellets in your spod mix unless you are after the smaller carp. Corn, hemp and crushed boilies are good options for your spod mix, though.
