Windsorview Lakes is a well-known fishing venue located in Old Windsor, Berkshire. The fishery comprises two lakes, the front and back lakes, with different characteristics and features.
The Front Lake
The front lake is around 8 acres in size and is open to day ticket fishing. It holds approximately 800 carp, ranging from 8lb to just over 20lb. Different tactics work on this lake, and it is not uncommon to catch over 10 carp in a day with the right conditions. The depth varies around the lake, and the fish will feed in various depths depending on the weather. Surface, zigs, and beds of bait all play their part in giving a great opportunity to try different things for optimum results.
The Back Lake
The back lake is about 8 acres and is a syndicate venue. It is home to around 40 carp ranging from 18lb to well over 30lb. The depth is around 21ft in places, with plateaus, bars, deep margins, and a tendency to get very weedy. This lake is not for the faint-hearted, as it will test your skills as you pit your wits against some really old carp that have seen it all before.
Facilities
The fishery offers a variety of facilities to ensure anglers have a comfortable and enjoyable experience. There is a large car park available for visitors, which is situated close to the lakes. There are also toilets on site.
