Wingham Fisheries is a carp fishing syndicate located in the Kent countryside. The fishery has over 80 acres of water spread across two lakes, including the Carp Lake and the Main Lake, both of which are otter-fenced. The Carp Lake is approximately 15 acres in size, while the Main Lake is around 40 acres.
What size do the fish go to?
The Carp Lake is stocked with British-bred carp, with weights ranging from 30 lbs up to 65 lbs. The Main Lake is also stocked with British carp, and it has already produced multiple 30lb and 40lb fish, as well as four carp weighing over 50 lbs. Additionally, both lakes have a diverse range of other species, including tench, pike, roach, and rudd.
What tactics work well?
Wingham Fisheries has a limited membership allocation, which ensures low fishing pressure for the fish. The fishery encourages natural growth and health of the fish, so the fishing tactics that work well will depend on the lake and the individual angler’s experience. The Carp Lake is considered to be well-stocked with fish and has plenty of natural food, which has encouraged the fish to grow quickly. The Main Lake is a more challenging and mysterious water to fish and may require more experience and advanced tactics.
What facilities are on site?
Wingham Fisheries provides a tranquil and peaceful environment for anglers. The fishery has toilets and shower facilities on site. It also has four stock ponds and a large indoor fish tank used for a self-sufficient breeding program that creates fish of the future. Is parking available?
Yes, parking is available at Wingham Fisheries. However, it is recommended that anglers park in the designated car parks after unloading from the road, not the grass, at the nearest point to their swim.
