Fishery Information
Situated in a stunning location in the heart of Nottinghamshire, Windthorpe Lake provides excellent sport to the keen Carp angler. The venue spans across 15 acres and the waters host a variety of fishing features and spacious swims.
The venue is also surrounded by mature trees, which offers shelter as well as a home to many birdlife species.
Additionally, long reeds and lily pads add to the tranquil atmosphere on site. Crucially, the waters are well stocked with Bream, Tench, Barbel, Roach and Carp.
What size do the fish go to?
Barbel generally weigh between 7 and 10 lbs. Additionally, Roach and Tench are landed with frequency between 2 and 7lbs. Carp are commonly caught in double figures, with the largest specimen exceeding 20lbs.
What tactics work well?
Prawns, maggots, and corn are work well as baits. Furthermore, utilising pellets and boilies during the warmer months is beneficial.
