Fishery Information
Woodthorpe Hall fishing lake is set inside Woodthorpe Leisure park which is a lovely location near Alford in Lincolnshire.
The lake itself is only small and is 1 acre in size. However, it’s stocked full of fish which include carp, tench, rudd, roach, and perch. There is even some Orfe at this venue which is a real treat as you don’t find these in a lot of places.
You can either buy a day ticket or a weekly ticket which are available from the shop that is on-site. We recommend the weekly ticket if you are staying at the venue for any length of time.
Children under the age of 12 must have an adult with them at all times.
What size do the fish go to?
We couldn’t find any information regarding this.
What tactics work well?
As its a very mixed fishery, we recommend that you start with maggots and see how you get on. If you get pestered with small fish then switch to sweetcorn or pellets to try and pick out the bigger fish.
What facilities are on site?
As its part of a caravan site there are toilets, a restaurant and bar, a play area for kids and even a gold course.
Is parking available?
Yes, there is plenty of parking at this venue as its part of a leisure complex.
