Located in Gloucestershire‘s Forest of Dean, Woolaston Fishery is a popular fishing destination. Approximately five and a quarter acres of water make up this fishery, which comprises of three lakes.
TOP LAKE encompasses a total area of 0.75 acres and was developed with beginners in mind. It has a large number of blues and rainbows.
The MAIN LAKE is approximately 2.8 acres and is home to two small islands that are entirely covered in vegetation. It is the largest lake on the property. The average water depth ranges from one to three meters, with some channels and pits reaching depths of up to five meters.
The lake has excellent water clarity, which makes it an excellent setting for stalking because it is easy to see the fish. This lake has been here for a long time and has a good population of rainbow trout, blue trout, brown trout, tiger trout, golden trout, spartic charr, and a few carp.
BOTTOM LAKE was first opened to the public in March of 2003 and spans roughly 1.3 acres. Anglers have access to a range of fishing opportunities here. the water depths go up to 6 meters down the bottom end, and the presence of an island adds another layer of intrigue given that larger fish appear to frequent the area around it.
The lake’s water is clear throughout the year, making it a popular destination for a significant number of frequent anglers who like the challenge of capturing enormous bluefish. This lake has been here for a long time and has a good population of rainbow trout, blue trout, brown trout, tiger trout, golden trout, spartic charr, and a few carp.
