Fishery Information
The Wyreside Lakes belong to a club and are a part of a rather large complex. It’s more than just a fishery, especially given that it features family sites, playgrounds, game rooms, a decent clubhouse, and has available both hiking and woodland adventures. Anglers that don’t like leaving their family at home can try this particular fishery if they want a weekend escape but don’t want to skip on a big catch!
Speaking of fish, there are a total of 6 lakes that anglers can try. Naturally, prices and rules may vary, so it’s better to check with the club for further information. The same applies to questions regarding fish stock. However, the Wyreside Lakes are known for Carp and coarse fishing.
Professional and competitive anglers might want to give this complex a try. Anglers with a hobby that transferred to their children can join the Junior Carp Camp, while professional ones can try their luck at the Wyreside Open Carp cup.
What tactics work well?
Given that this is a Carp fishery, make sure to pack your boilies, corn, bread, sweetcorn, and a good supply of (earth)worms. For the smaller species of fish, you’ll do just fine with some Jiggly bait, maggots and dead bait.
What facilities are on site?
Clubhouse, shop, playground, as well as a games room.
Toilets and such are certainly available near the clubhouse.
Is parking available?
Large car park available right near the lakes.
Small parking lots near each lake.
