Fishery Information
The Yateley Complex is the jewel in Farnham Angling Society’s crown. This fishing venue is absolutely massive and has every type of fishing an angler could dream of, other than game fishing. There are a total of 10 waters to fish on this complex. One section of river and nine lakes. The complex is that big that it is split into three sections, and just like Disney World, you’ll never fish the whole complex in a day.
What size do the fish go to?
There are so many big fish on this complex that it is nearly impossible to tell you about them all here. There are carp to over 40lbs, tench to over 9lbs, bream to over 9lbs, pike to 15lbs, catfish, perch, roach, rudd and more to all impressive sizes as well. Basically, if you want to catch a big carp, come here. If you want to catch a massive anything, go to Yateley’s, pick the perfect lake for the species you want to catch and get to fishing!
What tactics work well?
With such a huge complex talking tactics is difficult. However, if you haven’t been to Yateley before, stick with tactics you know work. If you usually fish PVA bags, stick with that. With so many lakes to get to know, it is important that you are at least confident with the method of fishing you are using.
