What tactics work well?
Anglers at Mill Lane use specialist tactics to target the large Carp and other species present. Due to the abundant weed, presentation can be challenging, and knowing the exact landing spot of the bait is crucial for success. Some successful tactics include finding holes in the weed using marker floats and casting baits into those areas with free offerings. Fishing over a bed of hemp has also yielded good results. For Pike, suspended dead baits fished above or on the weed can be effective, especially during the winter months.
What facilities are on site?
The venue provides a secure parking area within the fishery. Members must ensure that the gate is locked at all times, even if it was open on their arrival. Unattended wheelbarrows are not allowed on-site. The pond is fenced and secluded, offering a pleasant and private fishery experience for members.

Yes, parking is available within the fishery premises. Members are requested to park within the fishery and not on the public highway. Three car parks are provided within the fishery area, and a specific lay-by on the track is reserved for disabled anglers only. Parking the gate must be locked at all times to ensure security.
