Newport Reservoirs Fly Fishing Association manages the Ynys-y-fro Reservoirs in Newport, consisting of two lakes with a size of 16 and 10 acres. The reservoirs hold brown, blue, and rainbow trout. Both reservoirs were re-stocked in 2022/23, and fishing is now allowed in both venues.
Tickets and Pricing
Day and season tickets are available for fishing at Ynys-y-fro Reservoirs. Day tickets cost £10 for members and £17 for non-members. Junior tickets are not issued, as it is expected that anglers under 17 will fish with a senior and share their ticket. Payment is accepted by cash or cheque at the reservoir, and high denomination currency is preferred.
Regulations and Limits
Anglers should familiarize themselves with the fishery regulations, including stopping fishing after catching and killing their second fish and adhering to the 8-fish catch limit. Please respect the rules and maintain the quality of the fishery.
